NAFSO organises a major conference in January each year, featuring practical sessions, key note addresses from nationally recognised speakers and workshops. Reports from recent conferences are available.

In addition to the annual conference, NAFSO organises a number of weekend mini-conferences and other special events addressing aspects of curriculum development and issues which affect field studies.

NAFSO is also pleased to publicise events on behalf of Members and their organisations

Forthcoming events

2010 Annual Conference

Sunday January 3rd - Wednesday January 6th 2010, based in the Swanage/Purbeck area of Dorset.As in previous years the extensive and stimulating conference programme will be developed between members of the NAFSO Executive and a local team of NAFSO members. In this way delegates can expect a high quality programme that has a local flavour while addressing regional and national issues.

Geographical Association Lecture

You and your colleagues are invited to attend Professor David Lambert’s Inaugural Professorial Lecture:
‘Geography in Education: lost in the post?’

David Lambert is  Professor of Geography Education and Chief Executive of the Geographical Association.

David will explore the significance of Geography within a modern curriculum, and will draw critically on the Geographical Association's 'Manifesto, for School Geography 'A Different View'.
